Allen Bailey is CEO & Founder of Allen Bailey & Associates, Inc. and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He has been principal officer of the corporation since its inception in 1985.
Since starting his own consulting business in 1985, Mr. Bailey has been involved in numerous areas of life & health insurance company and fraternal operations. These areas of involvement include but are not limited to: actuarial examinations, policy form and rate approval for regulatory agencies, individual life insurance pricing (traditional and nontraditional products), and individual and small group health insurance pricing. Mr. Bailey also has experience in reinsurance negotiations and treaty analysis, Statutory and GAAP financial statement preparation, A&H rate increase and claim reserve management, mergers and acquisitions, Illustration Actuary software development and related actuarial certificates, as well as expert witness services.
In recent years, Mr. Bailey has been involved in the sale and/or purchase of a number of blocks of business as well as entire companies. This experience and exposure has allowed him to gain valuable insight into the valuation of various types of life and health insurance business.
Mr. Bailey also possesses strong communicative abilities. The ability to relate complex technical actuarial issues to non-actuaries is a skill that can enhance the ability of company management and state insurance department personnel to communicate effectively. In addition, because of this ability, he is often called upon to provide expert witness testimony.
Allen Bailey received his Bachelor Degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Texas in 1976.
